Lisa Cox is a Stewardship Specialist at William Blair Investment Management. Based in the firm’s Chicago office, she supports ESG-focused company engagement activities on the global equity and U.S. growth and core equities teams. In addition, Lisa oversees proxy voting policies and execution. Before joining William Blair, she worked with a variety of organizations to promote corporate social responsibility including Christian Brothers Investment Services, Verité, the United Nations International Labor Organization, UN Women and as a trial attorney at the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.

In addition, she is currently the Chair of the Women Investment Professionals Nominations and Governance Committee. Lisa is licensed to practice law in California, Washington and the District of Columbia. She holds a J.D. from American University Washington College of Law, an M.P.A. from New York University, and a B.A. in Economics and Political Science from the University of California at San Diego.
