One of the best ways to deepen your involvement with WIP is to join a committee. WIP’s committees are made up of WIP members who support the board in the leadership, strategy and day-to-day operations of the organization. We welcome your help as well as your ideas about what would make WIP even more valuable for members and sponsors. The professional development subcommittee focuses on identifying themes and topics critical to career development and advancement at all career stages. Through customized events, the committee spotlights women in the industry to support others looking for career guidance or taking the next step.

Events subcommittee

The events subcommittee is responsible for selecting program themes, speakers and venues for WIP events that span a wide range of themes – from investments and the economy, personal and career development to pure networking and socializing.

The innovation committee develops and incubates new programs aimed at enhancing the member and sponsor experience in support of WIP's mission.

Communications

The communications committee works with the board and other committees to develop and execute WIP’s marketing and communications strategy across multiple owned channels, such as email, social media, and web, as well as relevant external media outlets.

Finance

The finance committee establishes and oversees WIP’s budget, and provides regular reporting to the board to ensure prudent financial management of the organizations resources.

Investment

The investment subcommittee is charged with investing WIP assets that have been set aside to provide a future income stream that the organization can use for funding initiatives at the request of the board.

Governance and nominating

The governance and nominating committee supports the board in fulfilling its governance responsibilities. The committee develops and recommends governance guidelines, identifies prospective board members, manages continuity planning, and oversees board and committee evaluations.

Technology

The technology committee works with WIP’s other committees as well as third-party vendors to define, prioritize, and assist in implementing technology solutions for the organization. Priorities include creating and updating infrastructure that supports our future growth and implementing best practices to safeguard membership data.
