Outreach
“When women support each other, incredible things happen.”
WIP’s Community Outreach mission is to support the women around us and lead the girls that follow us.
In addition to empowering women in the investment industry professionally, WIP empowers women through personal development. We do this by actively supporting the women in our community. Our Community Outreach initiatives are two-fold:
- We aim to support and open doors for women who have faced hardships. We accomplish this through a partnership with Deborah’s Place, an organization that offers supportive housing and services to homeless women in Chicago. Deborah’s place offers women their key to healing, achieving their goals, and moving on from the experience of homelessness.
- We aim to foster enthusiasm in young girls to pursue careers in the investment industry. We are currently pursuing partnerships with middle schools, high schools, and universities to participate in programs that encourage and inspire young women to excel in mathematics and business based courses. The Community Outreach Committee is currently focused on building relationships with Chicago-based high schools to participate in events such as career and college fairs.
Our goal in these partnerships is to invest in all generations of women – from many backgrounds – to help achieve their goals and future aspirations.
